COSTS

The matriculation tuition and enrolment fees are
determined by the Community of Madrid. The average cost is a little
more than 1500 euros per year. These fees cover the enrolment, teaching,
exams, basic medical cover for students from a number of countries and
use of the library and other facilities of the University.

FINANCIAL AID
-
Both Departments offer a number
of grants to students starting the doctoral course. These awards
are based upon academic qualifications. In order to be eligible, you must
be capable of teaching practical or examples classes in Spanish or English
which are the two languages used in the undergraduate program of the university.

The university also has a number
of grants which cover basic living expenses and / or tuition fees.
-
Research assistantships are
also available. These are associated with specific projects within
a department.

Candidates from Iberamérica
should apply for financial assistance from the Instituto de Cooperación
Iberoamericano.

Financial assistance is also
available from a number of other private and public sources such as; the
EEC, the Spanish Ministry of Education, the Community of Madrid or the
Fundación
Caja de Madrid. See below for the grants
that are currently open.

Students should be aware that
if they have external funding, then this will be assessed positively as
regards their admission to the program.
