ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

Ph. D. IN BUSINESS  ADMINISTRATION AND QUANTITATIVE METHODS

• Admission to the program is based on purely academic criteria. The decisions adopted by the admissions committee are irrevocable.

• You need to be in possession of an undergraduate degree equivalent to a Spanish Licenciatura.  See the minimum requirements .

• In September there will be an obligatory Orientation Course.

• You must fill out the application form . You can get extra copies from the Centro de Ampliación de Estudios . The applications must be accompanied by:
• Two letters of recommendation of the candidate
• Degree certificate and transcripts
• Curriculum vitae
• Any other relevant information

• If you have them, you may also include your qualifications in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Information about the GRE can be obtained from the following address:

• The admissions decisions will be taken in three stages:

1. In the first stage all applications received before February are considered. Decisions will be taken in mid March and applicants will be notified soon afterwards.
2. In stage 2, applications received between February and April are considered, as well as any earlier applications still pending.
3. All applications received later than the end of April will be considered in stage 3.

• You are recommended to send your application form in as early as possible.  This also increases your chances of getting financial support .

• Try to send in the complete application form and accompanying documents. Any delay could reduce your chances of admission and / or financial help.

• Candidates should consider their visa and medical insurance requirements.

• For administrative reasons, those candidates who are not EEC citizans and wish to apply for financial aid should send in their application forms before the end of the first stage of applications (15th February).

• Calendar 2006/2007:

• First stage deadline for presenting application forms: 15th February 2006
• First stage decisions on admission and financial aid: 15th March
• Second stage deadline for applications: 15th April
• Second stage decisions on admissin and financial aid: 30th April
• Last day for sending your application: 15th June
• Final decisions on admission and financial aid: 30th June
• Welcome and orientation course: September
• Start of course: October.
