Abstract:

The aim of this meeting is to present the state of the art as well as new trends in Constructive Approximation with the participation of 6 leading researchers in the subject. We will attend the participation of other specialists in the subject as well as young researchers  half one hour talks) but with a limit of 60 people. We will focus our attention in several topics related to rational and polynomial approximation, spectral theory of differential operators, inverse problems, analytic properties of orthogonal polynomials and their applications in integrable and dynamical systems.

Topics to be covered:
Riemann-Hilbert approach to asymptotics of orthogonal polynomials, inverse problems and rational approximation, spectral theory of banded and differential operators, numerical analysis and rational approximation, integrable non linear dynamical systems, eigenvalues of random matrices, non standard orthogonal polynomials.
