COURSE GOAL
This course will be a
survey
of economic models and policy applications related to the European
Union
(EU) integration. Among the goals is to acquaint you with important
issues
in the economics of integration as well as many of the practical
problems
faced by countries as they attempt to integrate. We will consider
models
related to the Common Agricultural Policy, Single Monetary Policy and
Environmental
Policy.
COURSE OUTLINE
This course is about
using
economic principles to analyze the EU issues.

CLASS PARTICIPATION
I encourage you to ask
questions
and get involved. I may give readings to be used for in-class
discussions/writing
assignments. Readings will primarily include research/working papers,
articles
and recent documents from the European Commission and other news
sources.
